Stuff International Design Ltd was appointed by Strela as architectural advisers to develop a shopping centre in Chelyabinsk. We redesigned it to become a family destination centre, with various retail outlets, a food court, play areas and a large supermarket, totalling 17,260 square metres over two floors. ‘Molniya’ (food hypermarket) is the main tenant on the ground floor.
We optimised the vertical linkage and created the brand name - Raduga ("Rainbow") - and look, which was applied to the exterior, interior and signage.
Raduga's design and commercial success enabled it to win "The Best Small Shopping Centre 2008", assessed against a huge number of entries from across the whole of the Federation of Russia.
